This role primarily operates in a remote setting, utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct counseling sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document client histories from the first consultation through the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients to develop personalized and effective intervention plans.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to the specific needs of clients.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and other mental health professionals to create cohesive treatment plans.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress and adapt treatment strategies throughout the engagement to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Engage in proactive follow-ups with clients' psychiatrists, particularly for those who have experienced hospitalization.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing education and resources to clients and their families.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing the challenges associated with mental health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve are diverse individuals, couples, and families facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role will be pivotal in helping them navigate these challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals through tailored interventions and support.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrated success on the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Proven experience in mental health counseling or related fields, highlighting direct client interaction and strategies.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for efficient documentation and case management.

• Knowledge of concurrent physical and emotional health disorders, as well as substance use disorders, is essential.
