Payroll SpecialistOur client, located in Lewisville, is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is 100% in-office.Key Qualifications and Duties:Sage experience is helpfulBilingual in English and Spanish is requiredWill process payroll for about 500 employees, including timesheet verification, onboarding, terminations, benefits, changes, promotions, PTO, garnishments, deductionsUnion experience would be greatAccounting experience is a bonusSummary: This role is located in Lewisville, TX and primarily assists the HR/Payroll Manager in all facets of payroll. This position is ideal for someone who has been in payroll role for at least 3 years, is detail oriented, extremely organized, has strong communication skills, is a problem solver, and has an analytical mind with good math skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful in this role. Expected hours are Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm with an hour lunch break. This position reports to the HR/Payroll Manager.Duties & Responsibilities:Collect and verify employee timekeeping dataUpdate and maintain HRIS (new hires, terminations, benefits, and changes) as they affect payrollEmployment verificationsCheck payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is completeOversee direct deposit entries and verify accuracyUpdate payroll information for promotions, terminations, and new hiresEnsure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax and deduction lawsProcess time records in hh2Tracking PTO for all employeesMaintain garnishment logs and entry of garnishmentsUpdate the OAG when someone with a child support order separates employmentParticipate in open enrollmentsJob Requirements:Must have experience in payroll administrationMust be possess strong organizational and time management skillsMust be able to work onsite everydayMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have excellent organizational and attention to detail skillsMust be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
