Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility in Metuchen is designed to provide a supportive and state-of-the-art environment for both staff and patients. The facility is fully equipped with modern therapy equipment and rehabilitation tools that facilitate effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs. As an onsite physical therapist, you will work in a collaborative setting where multidisciplinary teams support each other to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients, including detailed history reviews and specific physical assessments to establish a baseline for treatment.
• Articulate evaluation findings and develop customized treatment plans, incorporating feedback and input from patients and their families to ensure alignment with patient goals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to patient needs, adapting to their condition and progress as necessary.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing and documenting any changes in conditions that may require adjustments in therapy or additional consultations.
• Document patient care activities accurately and promptly, maintaining detailed records that reflect the patient's progression, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Manage your time efficiently to meet productivity expectations while maintaining an accurate schedule and being punctual for meetings.
• Engage actively in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the services and benefits of Life Scape PT Service.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and serve as a clinical instructor to physical therapy students as needed.
• Participate in efforts aimed at improving patient access and experience while adhering to compliance with regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work closely with individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions related to the musculoskeletal system. Your patient population will include active adults, athletes, and elderly individuals, each requiring specific interventions to restore mobility, strength, and overall function. You'll develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and patient goals, fostering an environment where they feel empowered and supported throughout their recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey is essential.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience is not mandatory, any background in orthopedic physical therapy will be highly regarded.
• Experience in outpatient settings and knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation techniques are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
