Pay is $25 to $35 per hour on day shift, with a start time between 6:00 and 7:00 AM. This is a full time, direct hire job in north Cincinnati.

A precision job shop on the north side of Cincinnati is hiring a CNC machinist who can take a print, set up the job, program it and run it without help. This is not a button pushing role.

The work

• As many as five different jobs in one day: prototypes, repair parts and small to medium runs
• Turnarounds are quick, so you set up fast, run good parts and move on to the next job
• Horizontal CNC lathes (no vertical turret lathes) and 3 and 4 axis vertical mills
• Controls: Mazak Mazatrol, Haas and Fanuc
• Steel, stainless, cast iron, aluminum, exotics and plastics
• First piece and in process inspection with calipers, mics, bore gauges and CMM

You bring

• 3+ years setting up and running CNC lathes and/or vertical mills in a job shop
• Mazatrol programming on the lathe, the top skill for this role
• G and M code editing at the control. Full programming or CAM (GibbsCAM, Fusion 360) puts you at the top of the range
• Blueprint reading and GD&T
• A drive of about 30 minutes or less to north Cincinnati

Pay and benefits

• $25 to $35 per hour based on experience. The top of the range is for machinists who program and set up on their own
