The Music Department at Simpson University seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach music classes or lessons. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.

Qualifications:

·         Expertise in music as demonstrated through educational and/or professional experience

·      Supervises employees in accordance with Simpson University policies and procedures

·      Support the overflow needs of other departments within the respective university area

·      Perform other duties in accordance with this position as deemed necessary by the President

Essential Functions:

·         Teach classes/lessons as assigned and fulfill teaching responsibilities (as needed) including class/lesson preparation, instruction, grading, and office hours

·         Provide additional academic support to students as needed

·         Foster a classroom environment that supports student engagement and growth

·         Comply with all university policies, procedures, and expectations

·         Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair
