Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field is required
• Active and valid Alaska school counselor license
• Experience delivering support to students with special needs, specifically those with IEPs, is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse student populations and team members
• Strong organizational abilities and a proactive approach to planning and problem-solving
• Ability to work full-time, on-site, throughout the school year

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group counseling services as mandated by students’ IEP minutes
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general educators, administrators, and families to foster student success
• Document service delivery in accordance with school and district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to student goal-setting and progress monitoring
• Support development of social, emotional, and academic skills for students with diverse learning needs
