Associate Territory Manager

The Associate Territory Manager is a developmental role, supporting commercial and clinical sales activities within an assigned geography. The primary responsibility of an Associate Territory Manager is to partner and support Territory Managers in driving sales and delivering an exceptional customer experience across assigned territories and regions. This role provides hands-on support for customer visits, school and education activities, account management, referral development, and territory execution.

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Partner with Territory Managers to support sales and customer satisfaction across assigned territories by providing consistent field coverage, account follow-up, and execution support for Implant, Regenerative and Restorative product lines.
• Support the management and development of existing customer accounts. Conduct regular follow-up, identify customer needs, coordinate resources, and help advance account opportunities.
• Assist Territory Managers with referral network development and account management by identifying referral opportunities, supporting relationships with non-active GP accounts, and following through on customer needs.
• Support new customer acquisition (NCA) and existing-customer growth by researching prospects, preparing for customer meetings, participating in customer visits, and completing timely follow-up on opportunities.
• Create an exceptional customer experience by acting as a responsive business partner, understanding customer goals, and connecting customers with appropriate Straumann resources and solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Market Communications to support marketing launch plans, education initiatives, and new product sales objectives.
• Attend and represent Straumann at customer events as required, including regional events, study clubs, education programs, and national trade shows. Assist with planning, participation, Straumann presentations, and relationship development with existing and new participants.
• Keep abreast of key clinical studies and scientific papers supporting Straumann's product benefits and apply relevant information in customer interactions.
• Regularly use sales tools, such as SAP CRM, to plan and measure activities across assigned support territories, maintain accurate account information, and log quality activities with every Straumann customer and prospect.
• Frequent travel (including overnight travel) will vary depending upon the specific territories, school activities, and customer needs.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales, customer service, account management, or related customer-facing experience.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and maintained auto insurance coverage.

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present, build relationships, and influence others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others, while also working independently.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple territories, schools, accounts, and competing priorities.
• Demonstrated learning agility and willingness to receive coaching and develop knowledge of implant dentistry and Straumann products.
• Maintains integrity, high ethics, and professional codes of conduct at all times.
• General computer proficiency, including the ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
