Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional to make a valuable impact in early childhood education as a Special Education Teacher within a supportive Pre-K program. This full-time contract role (37.5 hours per week) spans the 2026-2027 school year, providing essential educational and developmental support to children ages 3-5 who present a range of needs.

The position centers on Rossville, GA, where you’ll play an integral role in a collaborative environment, working with little learners—many of whom are non-verbal or developing verbal abilities, may require assistance with feeding, and are in the midst of toilet training or diapering. Flexibility, compassion, and creativity are vital as you engage with these remarkable students, helping to foster their communication, emotional, and academic development.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching Certificate, with both Special and General Education Endorsements specific to Pre-K
• Professional experience working with young children, especially those with diverse and complex needs
• Comfortable supporting behavioral, communication, and self-care development
• Patient, innovative, and team-oriented approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each child
• Collaborate regularly with families, support staff, and therapists
• Adapt lesson plans to address unique learning styles and readiness levels
• Support and assist with toileting, diapering, and feeding as appropriate
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe classroom culture
