Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time role is situated near Rossville, GA for the upcoming school year, with potential for continuation into the next year based on strong performance. You will collaborate with a supportive team including two paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician to foster an engaging, adaptive, and successful learning environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid GaPSC Special Education certification with SPED content through 8th grade
• Adapted Curriculum Endorsement, or willingness to obtain it (pending credentials may be considered)
• Background in teaching students with significant cognitive and adaptive needs preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Ability to individualize instruction and adapt curriculum for student needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction aligned to functional curriculum for high school students in a self-contained setting
• Assess, plan, and document individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student
• Work closely with paraprofessionals and Registered Behavior Technician to provide differentiated support
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom culture that celebrates student growth and achievement
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and relevant school/district trainings
• Contribute to pre- and post-planning days as needed

This is a full-time contract position following the school calendar, with the probability of extending into the following school year upon successful completion.
