Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 4, 2026, to May 21, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You'll work directly in the Special Education Pre-K program, supporting children ages 3-5 as they embark on their earliest educational experiences.

The caseload includes children who may be non-verbal or have low verbal ability, exhibit various behaviors, and require assistance with toilet training, diapering, and feeding.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements for Pre-K
• Experience with early childhood special education, especially supporting students with toileting and feeding needs
• Familiarity with non-verbal communication strategies and behavioral interventions
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with classroom staff and families
• Compassion, patience, and dedication to helping every student reach their fullest potential

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nurturing, individualized instruction and support to Pre-K students with varying developmental needs
• Assist with toileting, diapering, and feeding routines, ensuring a dignified and supportive environment
• Implement behavior support plans in collaboration with specialists
• Develop IEP goals, document progress, and participate in meetings with families and team members
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
