Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms experienced by clients struggling with mood disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to craft individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, goals, and personal preferences.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide clients through their treatment journey.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to better serve evolving client needs and achieve desired outcomes.

• Engage in collaborative care efforts with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide holistic support to clients.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while safeguarding client confidentiality.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills and methodologies.

• Advocate for clients, focusing on destigmatizing mental health issues and ensuring the accessibility of necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals suffering from various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Your work will also support vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
