Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment, particularly related to mood disorders, to enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain precise and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical regulations.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional growth opportunities.

• Advocate for clients to ensure their needs are met and to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on individuals facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients range from diverse backgrounds, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, all of whom deserve care that is empathetic and tailored to their unique experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build a trusting therapeutic relationship.

• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach towards clients’ mental health challenges.
