Healing Hearts Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote position will specifically serve a school-based setting in Portland, Oregon, where you will play a pivotal role in providing mental health support to students, helping them navigate emotional challenges and enhance their overall well-being.

Work Environment\n

This role allows for a remote work setting, promoting flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to the school environment. Our therapists will conduct sessions via telehealth, working directly with students, teachers, and parents to deliver tailored mental health interventions. The work schedule is generally Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate student needs and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate student needs, developing personalized treatment plans that include goals, interventions, and measurable outcomes.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for students, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.

• Lead and facilitate psychoeducational and support groups aimed at addressing common issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress management among students.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, school counselors, and administrative staff to ensure cohesive and holistic care for each student.

• Offer crisis intervention services to students experiencing acute mental health issues, working swiftly to provide support and resources.
\n
• Educate students, parents, and staff on mental health awareness, treatment options, and community resources to enhance support networks.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations, weekly team meetings, and continuous education activities to stay current in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on a diverse school-aged population, addressing varied mental health challenges that young people may face. You will work with individuals, couples, and families, facilitating sessions that hone in on emotional and behavioral issues prevalent among students today. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Oregon.

• Strong background knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and best practices in therapeutic interventions.

• Proven experience conducting mental health assessments and crafting effective treatment strategies for diverse client populations.

• Demonstrated capacity to provide both individual and group therapy in a school setting.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-graduate clinical experience, preferably in a school or youth-focused environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
