Job Summary Electronic Security Project Coordinator, University Police - (951826) Works under minimal supervision to provide project management support to coordinate and track all access control/security device related projects under the direction of department leadership. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field related to building construction and project management, Associate’s Degree in a technical field related to building construction and project management, or High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: 2 years or more of experience in a technical construction environment with a Bachelor’s Degree, 4 years or more with an Associate’s Degree, or 6 years or more with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Job Duties Coordinates and tracks all access-control/security device related projects from conception with contractors, facilities, information resources, and other departments as assigned by immediate supervisor. Attends scheduled project planning meetings to determine project objectives, plans, and scope. Assists in gathering and verifying access control/security requirements for each project. Recommends physical security/access control/security device implementations for construction projects and renovations. Reviews floor plans and works with customers and architects during project conception and prior to "Issued for Construction" (IFC) to ensure access control infrastructure requirements are captured. Performs site visits to projects to ensure project scope and design are followed. Communicates project requirements to the project team and wider organization, maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of job status, changes, and control records necessary for internal and external reports. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team in collaboration with supervisor. Assists in developing best practices and tools for project execution and management. Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines. Performs other duties as assigned.
