Central Registrar

Central Registrar Position The Central Registrar is responsible for maintaining accurate student records, overseeing course scheduling and attendance tracking, and managing student information within the CampusNexus student information system. This position works closely with multiple departments to ensure compliance with academic policies and procedures. The Central Registrar is a remote position and reports directly to the College Registrar. Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with Admissions to ensure all enrollment documentation is accurate, processed, and properly recorded. Maintain permanent student records in accordance with company policies and procedures. Establish class schedules by term and coordinate with Program Managers and the VP of Academic Operations to make necessary adjustments based on student enrollment. Register students for courses and adjust schedules as needed for failed courses, based on program requirements and course rotation. Update student transcripts to reflect successful proficiency examinations and transfer credits. Evaluate Charter College transcripts for returning students to determine applicable credits toward a new program. Conduct periodic degree audits to ensure students are making adequate progress toward graduation. Process official transcript requests. Evaluate students' satisfactory academic progress (SAP) and process status changes for students who are not meeting requirements and may be subject to academic dismissal. Coordinate with Student Finance to ensure the timely processing of externship and graduate clearances. Provide Student Finance with information regarding veteran students who have failed courses to ensure compliance with VA regulations. Oversee attendance and grade collection and recording, ensuring timely processing of student withdrawals and status changes. Assist in reviewing and developing registrar-related documents, including official transcripts and student schedules. Assist with training staff on registrar functions and CampusNexus usage, providing ongoing feedback and support for staff development. Support CampusNexus system setup and maintenance for enrollment, registration, and student tracking, including SAP settings, new courses, terms, start dates, and academic periods. Coordinate with other departments to prepare and process applications for third-party agencies. Assist in reviewing the college catalog, enrollment agreement, and other publications to ensure accuracy and consistency. Complete other projects and duties as assigned. Job Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of two years of experience managing, entering, updating, and reporting data, such as customer information, required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook required. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, improve processes, and resolve issues. Compensation Hourly, non-exempt position. Hourly pay range: $20.00–$24.50. Compensation is based on experience, knowledge, and education. Work Location Remote. Candidates must reside in or work within the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones.
