Resident Service Specialist

The Resident Service Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive living experience for residents within residential communities. This position is responsible for addressing resident inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring that all service requests are handled promptly and professionally. The Specialist acts as a liaison between residents and property management, facilitating communication and promoting community engagement. By maintaining detailed records and coordinating with maintenance and leasing teams, the Specialist helps uphold high standards of property management and resident satisfaction. Ultimately, this role contributes to resident retention and the overall success of the property by delivering exceptional customer service and support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in customer service or property management support roles.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and property management software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field.
• Experience working in residential real estate or rental property environments.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and regulations.
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse resident populations.
• Certification in property management or customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and courteously to resident inquiries and service requests via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
• Assist residents with account questions, payments, fees, balances, and other account-related matters as appropriate.
• Coordinate with maintenance and management teams to ensure timely resolution of resident issues and follow up to confirm satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of resident communications, service requests, and resolutions using property management software.
• Follow up with residents to ensure requests and concerns have been properly resolved.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and information.
• Assist in setting up for community events and initiatives to enhance resident engagement and foster a welcoming environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements associated with data entry and document processing.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move around the office.
• Ability to lift and carry office supplies, files, records, or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
