Job Description

Our Client supplies replacement parts and accessories for all types and brands Ground Support Equipment (GSE) on a worldwide basis.

The Position: Accounts Payable Manager

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Communication – this role requires daily communication both internally within departments/branches as well as externally with vendors to resolve vendor discrepancies that have been escalated.
2. Month End Reporting – oversee all month end closing tasks including review of all non-approved invoices, payment posting, credit card reconciliations and intercompany invoice reconciliations.
3. Payments – manage weekly creation and processing of cash requirements schedule for the Global Treasury Manger to review. Process checks and create ACH uploads for multiple global companies.
4. Cash management - Managing disbursements to ensure that we are in good standing with vendors while not paying too soon, taking any discounts available, prioritizing payments when cash is tight.
5. Vendor Maintenance – manage all vendor accounts which includes vendor setup, vendor updates and ACH bank setup within Kyriba.
6. Year End – responsible for reviewing and processing all 1099s and assisting with audits.
7. Development – responsible for hiring and training staff and ensuring that AP Associates are knowledgeable of all AP policies and procedures
8. This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Business or Accounting as a minimum
• Five plus years’ experience of Accounts Payable management in a high-volume atmosphere
• Strong understanding of General Ledgers
• Knowledge of outsourcing
• Knowledge of foreign currency and banking platforms
• Yearly 1099 Processing
• Experience with multi locations and companies a plus
