Head Coach, Wrestling Boys

Date of Posting July 1, 2026 Head Coach, Wrestling Boys The Head Coach will supervise, coordinate, and promote all phases of the PIAA program at Paxon Hollow Middle School. The coach is responsible for teaching student‑athletes the sport, utilizing demonstrations to develop fundamental skills and team strategy. The coach teaches sportsmanship, responsibility, and respect for others, plans conditioning activities, and works cooperatively with the faculty manager and athletic director. Position Details: Season 2026‑2027, 6 units, location: Paxon Hollow Middle School, 1 position. Qualifications Experience: Coaching experience preferred. Skills: Written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, ability to connect and relate to middle‑school age students, and leadership. Education: Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; coaching certification preferred. Essential Functions Teach techniques, rules, strategies, and playing tactics. Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, and responsibility to team members. Commit to devoting long hours and weekends to the program. Conduct a pre‑season and post‑season conditioning program in accordance with PIAA and district policies. Supervise and conduct safe practices and contests. Accurately assess the talents and abilities of team members. Participate in a successful recruitment program. Display competency in coaching philosophy, knowledge of PIAA rules and regulations, MNSD School Board policy, and student athletic eligibility requirements. Respond to player injuries using first aid techniques. Maintain uniforms, equipment, and the school facility. Supervise bus, locker room, and team members. Monitor team members' attendance, grades, and personal conduct. Understand obligations outlined in MNSD School Board policies. Perform other duties assigned by the principal and/or athletic director. Frequency of Meetings Daily practices during the spring season. Clearances In accordance with school code, Act 24, and all related clearances. Compensation 1‑2 years experience – $438.00 3, 4, 5 years experience – $475.00 6 years & over experience – $510.00 Application Procedure Interested candidates should submit an online application.
