Head Coach, JV Football Position for the 2026-2027 school year at Paxon Hollow Middle School. Duration: 2026-2027 Season Number of Units: 6 Location: Paxon Hollow Middle School Number of Positions: 1 Job Description Supervises, coordinates and promotes all phases of the PIAA program; teaches student‑athletes fundamental skills and team strategy, emphasizes sportsmanship and responsibility; plans conditioning activities to develop fitness; reports to principals and athletic director and works with the faculty manager. Qualifications Experience: Coaching experience preferred. Skills: Written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, ability to connect with middle school students, leadership. Education: Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; coaching preference. Essential Functions Ability to teach techniques, rules, strategies, and playing tactics. Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, and responsibility to team members. Demonstrates a commitment to devote long hours and weekends to the program. Conduct pre‑season and post‑season conditioning program as applicable and in accordance with PIAA and district policies. Supervise and conduct safe practices and contests. Accurately assess talents and abilities of team members. Participate in a successful recruitment program. Display competency in coaching philosophy, knowledge of PIAA rules and regulations, MNSD School Board Policy, and Student‑Athletic Eligibility requirements. Respond to player injuries using first aid techniques. Maintain uniforms, equipment, and school facility. Supervise bus, locker room, and team members. Monitor team members' attendance, grades, and personal conduct. Read and understand obligations outlined in MNSD School Board Policies. Conduct other duties assigned by Principal and/or Athletic Director. Additional Information Frequency of meetings: Daily practices during the spring season. Approximate number of students enrolled: TBD. Clearances: In accordance with school code, Act 24, and all related clearances.
