Key Responsibilities

• Partner with attorneys and staff to prepare, edit, and submit client bills accurately and in compliance with company and client-specific guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of billing guidelines, special arrangements, rates, fee caps, formats, and expense rules across the client portfolio.
• Submit invoices through eBilling platforms; manage rejections, appeals, and billing issues through to resolution.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing details and timely client updates.
• Address billing questions and resolve complex billing issues for both internal stakeholders and clients in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Collaborate with the Accounting department to troubleshoot billing-related matters as they arise.
• Proactively recommend improvements and efficiencies to existing billing processes.
• Contribute flexibly to projects and initiatives outside of core billing responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 2 years of experience in billing, accounting, or customer service - legal or medical billing experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with legal billing or time entry software; experience with eBilling platforms a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Outlook.
• Solid math skills and meticulous attention to detail - accuracy is non-negotiable in this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-facing demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime when deadlines require it.
