Insurance Follow Up Representative

System One is hiring an Insurance Follow-Up Representative for a respected healthcare organization in Tulsa. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with medical billing experience who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with insurance carriers to resolve claim issues.
Pay: $18–$20/hour
What You'll Do:
- Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid or delayed claims
- Research claim issues and work toward timely resolution
- Submit appeals and additional documentation when needed
- Monitor denied claims and assist with recovery efforts
- Review account balances and prioritize outstanding receivables
- Maintain accurate records of follow-up activity and claim status
- Provide occasional support to the authorization team
What We're Looking For:
- At least 2 years of insurance follow-up or medical billing experience
- Experience working insurance denials and appeals
- Familiarity with payer portals and claim status research
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Physician billing experience
- Prior authorization experience
