Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk ICarle Place, NY 11514OverviewSalary Range $18.00 - $19.85 Hourly Position Type Full TimeDescriptionEMSL is seeking a Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I in Carle Place, NY. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive environmental samples from in person customers and shipping carriersOpen packages; handle, count, sort environmental samples to ensure sample integrity is retainedReview paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctnessEnter Chain of Custody into LIMS system for all lab divisionsTransfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locationsGenerate invoices and reports for clients as neededAssist with customer or client questions via in person, phone, and e-mailCoordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administrationOther responsibilities as deemed necessary by the managerQualificationsRequirements: High School diploma or GED equivalent Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Experience in administration, data entry, and customer service Proficient in MS Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clientele Able to work in a high volume environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit and stand for various lengths of time Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistanceAvailable Shift: Position is full-time Tuesday to Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Carle Place, NY are encouraged to apply.EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.
