Trauma Registrar (Remote)

Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trauma Registrar to join a high-performing healthcare organization remotely. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong trauma registry, coding, and reporting expertise who are passionate about supporting quality patient care and trauma program excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate trauma data abstraction and registry entry
• Review and code trauma cases using ICD-10 and AIS coding standards
• Generate and maintain trauma registry reports and PRQ reporting
• Ensure compliance with ACS trauma standards and registry guidelines
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support trauma program quality initiatives
• Maintain data integrity and meet reporting deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of Trauma Registry experience
• Experience with ICD-10 coding and AIS coding
• Strong understanding of trauma data management and abstraction
• Prior exposure to Nursing, EMS, or medical terminology required
• Experience using DI/V5 Trauma Registry
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Knowledge of Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient 2022 Standards (ACS Standards)

Required Certifications & Training:


Candidates must have completed and provide proof of the following:

• AAAM/AIS Coding Course with certification
• ICD-10 Coding Course
• ATS Trauma Registry Course
• CAISS (Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist) Certification

Preferred Experience:

• Report Writer experience using V5 Trauma Registry
• PRQ reporting experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Additional Information:

• Weekend work is not required
• Team structure: 4 Trauma Registrars supporting approximately 2,300 patients annually
