Research Technician, Early Phase Clinical Research - Dallas, TX

Overview Fortrea is a leading global contract research organization specializing in clinical development across more than 20 therapeutic areas. Position Research Technician – full‑time day shift (6:00–2:30PM or 9:00–5:30PM) with rotating weekends, office‑based in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities Interact directly with healthy volunteer participants while learning clinical research protocols. Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings. Prepare and record ECGs/Holters. Collect and process biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution. Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants. Assist in preparing rooms and medical equipment. Assist with screening procedures as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working and study environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education). EMT, CMA, or CNA certification preferred. Phlebotomy experience required. At least 1 year of related experience. Work Environment Work performed in a laboratory and/or clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel. Exposure to biological fluids. Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves. Physical Requirements Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6–8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment. Occasional crouching, stooping, frequent bending, and twisting of upper body and neck. Ability to access and use a variety of computer software. Light to moderate lifting and carrying of objects including luggage and laptop computer, maximum lift 15–20lbs. Regular and consistent attendance. Varied hours may be required.
