A growing organization is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead and elevate the company's people strategy while overseeing all aspects of human resources. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to support organizational growth, strengthen employee engagement, develop scalable HR programs, and ensure compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and hands-on execution, with experience building processes, guiding leaders, and supporting a growing workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior HR leader and strategic partner to executive leadership
  • Develop and execute HR initiatives that support business objectives and organizational growth
  • Oversee talent acquisition efforts across field, operational, and corporate functions
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, and workforce challenges
  • Lead compensation, benefits, and employee engagement programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee HR policies, procedures, systems, and reporting processes
  • Drive HR process improvements and scalable infrastructure to support company growth
  • Partner with leadership on organizational planning, workforce development, succession planning, and retention initiatives
  • Oversee leave administration, workers' compensation, and risk management related to employment matters
  • Support leadership development, training initiatives, and manager coaching programs
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing workplace culture
Requirements
  • Experience leading the HR function at a manager, director, or senior HR leadership level
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance
  • Demonstrated experience supporting organizational growth and building HR processes and infrastructure
  • Experience advising executives and partnering with leadership on people-related initiatives
  • Background in recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and HR operations
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; ADP experience preferred
  • Construction, engineering, real estate, or other project-based industry experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus
