Production Assembler

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Production Technician , you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, inspecting, and testing products while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. You will work alongside a collaborative team committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Responsibilities Assemble products and components according to work instructions and customer specifications. Perform repetitive bench and assembly line operations to meet production schedules. Assemble electronic and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and jigs. Drill, tap, ream, fasten, sand, clean, and shape parts as required. Operate production equipment and monitor machine performance. Perform inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. Conduct testing using calibrated equipment and accurately record results. Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment, materials, and production processes. Complete production documentation and data entry for safety, quality, and delivery metrics. Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Follow all company safety procedures, 5S practices, ISO requirements, and manufacturing standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with training team members when needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 6 months to 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Ability to read work instructions, safety procedures, and operating manuals. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, or balance. Frequently use hands for assembling and handling components. Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and moderate to high noise levels. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including static control devices when required.
