Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all patient interactions. This role involves delivering comprehensive assessments and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform initial patient assessments and establish appropriate care plans based on clinical standards and patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Implement nursing interventions and procedures specific to emergency care, adjusting plans as necessary.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of care activities to support effective communication among the healthcare team.
  
  
• 
  Promote patient and staff safety by identifying hazards, reporting incidents, and adhering to safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and staff to foster a positive, healing environment.
  
  
• 
  Provide feedback and support peer development through constructive communication and professional guidance.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active Illinois RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care settings.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing situations.
