Summary:
This position will be the point of contact for all questions related to insurance benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all benefits questions for Zeeland Public Schools employees and work closely with MESSA and other insurance providers.
• Support staff as they work through enrollment and changes in their insurance status with MESSA.
• Ensure proper correspondence regarding employee benefits are sent, either from MESSA or ZPS, in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree and prior related work experience preferred.
• Must have a high degree of integrity to maintain confidentiality of all administration office matters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to relay a variety of information between community members, substitute teachers, job applicants and employees.
• Knowledge, skill, and physical ability to operate various office equipment including computers, software programs, copy machine, telephone system and calculator is required.
• Must have the ability to work effectively in an environment where interruptions are frequent and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to use independent judgment, display flexibility, and have the ability to work independently, without supervision, and make decisions in accordance with district policies and procedures.

Schedule:

• Up to 15 hours/week

Compensation:
Level 5 - Range is $20.95-$24.52/hr. depending on years of relative work experience.
