A premier global law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing employers in sophisticated employment litigation, workplace counseling, labor relations, and executive employment matters.
Ideal Background
• 3-6 years of labor & employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience representing employers , including public and private companies, private equity portfolio companies, financial institutions, technology companies, and other business clients
• Experience handling employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and other workplace disputes in federal and state courts
• Experience counseling employers regarding employee discipline, workplace investigations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, employee classification, and day-to-day employment law issues
• Experience drafting and reviewing employment agreements, executive compensation agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employee handbooks, workplace policies, separation agreements, and settlement agreements
• Experience with traditional labor matters, collective bargaining, NLRB proceedings, executive compensation, or employment issues arising from mergers and acquisitions is a plus
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated employment matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
