Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your expertise and passion for supporting students to a dynamic, onsite contract opportunity as a School Counselor in a vibrant educational environment. Two dedicated professionals are needed to cover maternity leave positions, providing vital support to a diverse K-12 student population. You will play a key role in conducting behavioral threat assessments and fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Texas School Counselor Certificate issued by SBEC, with eligibility as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychologist (LP), or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
• Professional experience as a school-based counselor, supporting behavioral and emotional wellness in K-12 settings
• Experience with behavioral threat assessments preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling services to a caseload of 75-85 students across a range of grade levels (K-12)
• Facilitate individual and group sessions addressing academic, emotional, and social concerns
• Complete behavioral threat assessments and recommend interventions when needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Maintain confidential and accurate records in compliance with district and legal guidelines
• Contribute to a safe, supportive school environment for students and staff

This position is a full-time, onsite contract role running from August 3, 2026, through December 18, 2026, with a workday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
