Step into a rewarding role supporting students' communication needs across transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. This full-time contract opportunity near Palo Alto, CA, offers you the chance to collaborate with an onsite Occupational Therapist and be immersed in a positive, multidisciplinary environment.

You’ll work closely with a caseload of approximately 55 students, providing essential speech-language services using a variety of modalities—including onsite and, if applicable, teletherapy platforms—to maximize student outcomes. Your expertise will be utilized across 2-3 schools within the district, offering both professional variety and meaningful student relationships throughout the 186-day contract, starting this August.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold current SLP credentials: CCC, CFY, or hold a state-approved SLPA license
• Experience in schools or healthcare settings—teletherapy experience a plus
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload spanning TK-8th grades
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education documentation
• Collaborative approach; ready to partner with OTs, educators, and support staff
• Must provide two professional letters of recommendation
• Submit a sample assessment or progress report (with all student information fully anonymized)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to TK-8 students
• Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in parent meetings and provide staff consultation as needed
• Rotate between assigned schools, adapting to each learning community
