Adjunct Professor Series Pool Ad – Open Ranks in the Department of Surgery Salary range: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 – Summary. The salary range is $90,700 to $533,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and division requirements. Membership in the health sciences compensation plan provides eligibility for additional compensation. Position Overview The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles anticipates openings for physicians in its various divisions. Positions will be at the level of Assistant Professor or above, within the Adjunct Professor Series (non‑tenure track). Duties Participate in patient care. Teach residents and precept medical students. Perform university and public service activities. Demonstrate professional competency and activity. Requirements M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. from an accredited institution with appropriate clinical training and experience. Current or recently applied for a California Medical License and Board certification. Demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service, and/or research suitable to the Adjunct Professor series. Positions are dependent on funding and availability. Initial appointments are for one year with renewal based on support availability. Qualifications Basic qualifications MD, DO, or PhD degree and prior experience. Current or applied for California Medical License with Board certification. Additional qualifications Commitment to providing care to diverse and underserved populations. Demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service, and/or research. Preferred qualifications Advanced surgical skills with completed Fellowship Training.
