Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, program, and optimize automated manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and pneumatic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, and HMI issues.
- Program and troubleshoot industrial robots, including FANUC, Sepro, Yushin, or Wittmann.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC I/O, communication, and control system issues.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and production line changes.
- Maintain equipment documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
- 2 5 years of experience in automation, robotics, controls, or manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, and automated equipment.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
