Business Title: Territory Account Manager Company: Gemaire Distributors, Chesapeake, Virginia, USA Employment Type: Full‑Time Job Summary The Territory Account Manager is responsible for consultative selling, developing contractor relationships, and managing a strong customer base in an assigned territory. The role requires 100% sales budget achievement, maintaining profit goals, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Self‑directed and initiative‑driven to achieve sales goals. Generate additional sales and grow market share in assigned territory. Prospect for new business and develop new dealers with programs and market strategies. Maintain a minimum of 25 face‑to‑face meetings weekly. Negotiate pricing based on market and maintain company profit goals. Exceed individual territory sales budget and contribute to regional sales goals. Proactively develop sales and solve sales‑related problems. Resolve customer problems promptly. Attend training to acquire new skills and knowledge. Work closely with vendor partners to identify and execute opportunities. Serve as host at dealer meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive trips, and similar functions. Participate in product shows, utility-sponsored events, industry associations, etc. Conduct oneself professionally with contractors, customers, and employees. Perform any other duties assigned by management. Required Qualifications Associate degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college or technical school. Customer‑focused, goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, deadline‑driven, and collaborative. Proven sales and marketing experience at wholesale distribution level. 2‑4 years residential and commercial contractor sales experience. Strong communication, time‑management, and organizational skills. Experience in sales, marketing, operations, and leadership roles. Track record of establishing and meeting sales goals. Ability to partner with the Regional Sales Manager to develop and expand customer relationships. Strategic planning skills for customer base growth and territory forecasting. Proficiency with CRM systems for tracking and reporting opportunities. Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills. Data analysis ability to evaluate sales and market information. Presentation skills and ability to act as a business consultant. Independent work while meeting assigned goals and timelines. Desire to learn, teach, and lead. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet applications. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance. Preferred Qualifications 2‑4 years of HVAC industry sales experience (or 5‑10 years sales outside HVAC with documented results). Education Requirements Minimum of an Associate degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college or technical school. Experience Preferred 2‑4 years of sales experience within the HVAC industry or 5‑10 years in a related field with documented results. Work Environment Travel required; must travel locally for in‑person sales calls. Physical Demands Sedentary – lifting 0‑10 pounds: frequent. Light lifting (10‑20 pounds): never. Moderate lifting (20‑50 pounds): never. Heavy lifting (50‑100 pounds): none. Pushing/pulling, carrying: occasional. Reaching or working above shoulder: never. Walking, standing, sitting: frequent. Stooping, kneeling, repeated bending, climbing: none. Desk work/computer use/telephone use: constant. Operating a motor vehicle: frequent. Operating a commercial vehicle, forklift, or similar equipment: none. Other duties (talking, driving, visiting customers): constant.
