Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 13 or 26-Week Contract Options | 36 or 48-Hour Weekly Options Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to trauma patients on a 45-bed medical/surgical unit, addressing both acute and chronic needs for hemodynamically and medically stable patients
• Manage and monitor IV drips as required across all floors
• Float to other units and campuses within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport teams, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and working 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Experience managing IV drips
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (required for first-time travelers to be considered)
• Prior experience in a trauma or fast-paced medical/surgical specialty unit
• Comfort with frequent floating across multiple units and campuses
