Assistant Director of Nursing

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who brings strong clinical skills, a hands‑on leadership style, and a commitment to both resident well‑being and team support. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and campus leadership to provide day‑to‑day clinical oversight, support staff development, and help ensure consistent, high‑quality care in a setting where relationships matter and leadership is present. Opportunity Details: Full time dayshift To support continuous resident care and campus operations , this role includes: a rotating schedule of every 6th weekend, every 6th holiday, one 12pm-8pm shift per month, and flexibility to meet On Call campus needs. ADON Responsibilities: Clinical Operations & Resident Care Provide direct nursing services as needed to support resident health and safety Conduct and review head‑to‑toe assessments for new and returning residents Participate in wellness team meetings and coordinate ongoing resident assessments Monitor quality of care delivery and ensure consistency in clinical practices Complete and review DHS-required assessments for assigned residents Ensure care and support plans are communicated and followed by care teams Maintain open communication with residents, families, physicians, and care teams Support resident wellness through ongoing evaluation and coordination of care Leadership, Team Support & Development Provide hands‑on supervision of personal care staff and support nursing team oversight Assist in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of care staff Participate in coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations Support staffing coordination in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Foster a positive, team‑oriented environment focused on collaboration and accountability Clinical Compliance, Safety & Documentation Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Assist with infection control practices, tracking, and reporting Ensure medication associate training and monitoring meets required standards Monitor for safety concerns, including potential abuse or neglect, and respond appropriately Maintain accurate documentation and serve as a PointClickCare resource for staff Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Resident Experience Collaborate with dining, life enrichment, therapy, and chaplain services to support resident well‑being Provide social, emotional, and supportive care to residents and families Partner with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident experience and outcomes ADON Qualifications: Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of employment 2–4 years of clinical nursing experience in assisted living, personal care, or long‑term care Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred Strong knowledge of resident care practices, care planning, and team support Experience supervising or guiding care staff, including coaching and training Proficiency with electronic health records (e.g., PointClickCare) and basic computer systems Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills CPR certification required Our Investment in You Above standard industry pay and comprehensive benefits including Highmark Blue Shield and employer‑matching 401(k) Length of service bonus Generous paid time off, including holidays, your birthday, a Personal Day of Meaning, and the opportunity to roll over unused time Supplemental life insurance, company‑paid short‑term disability, and optional long‑and short‑term disability plans Our Support for You Family‑owned, private company based in Hershey, PA Direct access to your supervisory team Incentivized career paths and tuition reimbursement On‑the‑job training and continuing education Employee Assistance Program for you and your family Co‑worker Foundation (grants for times of need) Helping Hand interest‑free loans About Country Meadows/Ecumenical: We have over 2500 co‑workers who are serving our residents with meaning, thriving with purpose and leading our company with innovation!
