A skilled nursing and rehabilitation center is adding an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing ADON to its leadership team. This is a hands-on nursing leadership position for an RN with strong long-term care experience who can help oversee clinical practice, support nursing staff, and maintain readiness for regulatory review.

The ADON will work closely with nursing and interdisciplinary leadership to identify concerns, follow through on corrective actions, and help ensure consistent standards of resident care throughout the facility.

In This Role, You Will

• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff across the facility

• Follow up on resident care concerns, incidents, accidents, and clinical issues

• Conduct and assist with investigations and develop appropriate follow-up plans

• Review documentation, clinical practices, and quality indicators for areas requiring attention

• Participate in QAPI activities and help turn identified concerns into measurable improvements

• Monitor compliance with applicable NYS Department of Health, CMS, and other regulatory requirements

• Assist with survey preparation, regulatory follow-up, and maintaining ongoing survey readiness

• Work with department leaders to resolve problems affecting resident care and facility operations

• Coach and guide nursing staff on policies, procedures, and standards of practice

• Identify trends, communicate concerns to leadership, and help implement sustainable solutions

What We're Looking For

• Current New York State RN license

• Previous nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care

• Working knowledge of LTC clinical practices and regulatory requirements

• Experience with investigations, audits, quality improvement, and/or survey preparation

• Strong follow-through and the ability to manage competing priorities

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff and leadership

• A practical, team-oriented approach to clinical problem solving
