Plan2Placement is partnering with a growing Food & Beverage company in Santa Ana, CA, to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their expanding accounting team.
This is a great opportunity for an AP professional who enjoys being part of a collaborative team, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to grow with an organization that is continuing to expand.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience , strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
What You'll Be Doing
- Process a high volume of invoices while ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with internal teams and vendors
- Assist with vendor setup, maintenance, and payment-related inquiries
- Prepare and coordinate vendor payments through various payment methods
- Perform AP account reconciliations and research outstanding items
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain organized and accurate AP records and documentation
- Partner with Purchasing, Receiving, Accounting, and other departments to resolve issues
- Monitor outstanding invoices and help ensure payments are made according to established terms
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation when needed
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency
- Support additional accounting projects as the company continues to grow
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with invoice processing and vendor payments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred
- Food & Beverage, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or other high-volume industry experience is a plus
