Work Environment

Your work will be performed onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Elmwood Park. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments to evaluate movement disorders and identify patient-specific mobility limitations, strength imbalances, and balance issues.
• Utilize clinical expertise and evidence-based methodologies to pinpoint the root causes of pain and dysfunction, allowing for effective treatment planning.
• Work closely with patients to define their rehabilitation goals, implementing tailored plans that promote sustained improvement and recovery.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and modify treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients on injury prevention strategies, appropriate exercise regimens, and wellness initiatives to empower them in their recovery process.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices through continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals requiring rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, post-operative recovery, and chronic pain conditions. Your efforts will directly influence their functional ability and overall quality of life, making each interaction a meaningful contribution to their healing process.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or its equivalent is required for this position.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience, ideally within an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective dialogue with patients, families, and team members.
• Proven ability to create individualized treatment plans and measure outcomes effectively.
• Demonstrate a compassionate, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
• Adept at working autonomously while being a collaborative contributor to our interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specialized therapies such as manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or aquatic therapy is preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently document patient encounters and treatment plans.
• Participation in community outreach programs or physical therapy education initiatives is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k options, and paid time off.
