Cost Accounting Manager

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to support financial operations for a leading tech manufacturing environment in San Jose, California. This role will lead cost-focused reporting, strengthen accounting processes tied to procure-to-pay activity, and provide clear analysis that helps guide business decisions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in standard costing, general ledger accounting, and hands-on experience working with NetSuite.Responsibilities:• Lead cost accounting activities for manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate valuation of inventory, production costs, and margin reporting.• Oversee standard cost development and maintenance, including updates based on material, labor, and overhead changes.• Prepare and analyze cost reports, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities to improve financial performance.• Partner with procurement and accounts payable teams to support procure-to-pay processes and maintain strong financial controls.• Manage general ledger entries and reconciliations related to inventory, cost of sales, and manufacturing transactions.• Deliver timely month-end and period-end reporting with a focus on cost accuracy and operational insight.• Use NetSuite to monitor transactions, maintain accounting data integrity, and support reporting requirements.• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve cost visibility and strengthen accounting procedures across the businessRequirements• 7+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing setting.• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles, including standard costing methodologies.• Experience supporting procure-to-pay workflows and related financial reporting activities.• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.• Proficiency in cost analysis with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.• Hands-on experience using NetSuite in an accounting or finance environment.• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.Job typePerm
