Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an Optician to join our team! Are you a friendly, outgoing person with an eye for fashion? Do you have experience in the optical field? Then you may just be the right candidate! We take pride in our optical shop that offers exclusive frame collections, superior products, state of the art lens technology, and knowledgeable Opticians.Our ideal candidate will create an enjoyable experience for our patients while providing them with flawless accuracy in eyewear consulting. ABO certification preferred but not required. Must have knowledge of lensometry, optical theories, and formulas.Our Opticians offer:Patient Care: Assisting with frame selection, measuring precise pupillary distance, and segment height.Clinical Support: Interpreting and verifying prescriptions, performing repairs and adjustments, and educating on lens options and contact lens care.Insurance Coordination: Processing optical orders through insurance portals, managing lab tracking and obtaining and submitting authorizations.Qualifications:Experience: Prior Optician work is requiredSkills: ability to work independently in a high volume clinic while maintaining technical proficiency, and being comfortable with financial counseling.Mindset: Organized with a focus on patient satisfaction.\nCompany DescriptionChang Eye Group is one of the most established and comprehensive eye care facilities in the Pittsburgh area.
