Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care

Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience (outpatient clinic/oncology preferred)
• Valid compact or state RN license
• BLS certification
• Preferred: ONS, OCN certifications
• Experience with GI oncology care and infusion, IV starts, venipuncture/phlebotomy, specimen collection
• Skills in blood glucose monitoring, obtaining vitals, EKG/12-lead, patient teaching, triage

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with GI oncology diagnoses.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and manage treatment plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and post-care instructions.
• Collect samples and perform necessary tests as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions allowed).
• Two professional references required; at least one from a manager/director is necessary.
• Urgent Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon booking (if applicable).
