Staff Accountant

Capital Logistics Group is seeking an experienced and analytical Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of both CLG Transportation and Capital Logistics Group. This role plays a key part in month‑end close, financial reporting, process improvement, and operational analytics across multiple systems and platforms. What You’ll Do Perform monthly close processes and prepare timely financial statements Maintain the general ledger and process complex journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Support AP/AR operations, collections, invoicing, and cash flow monitoring Oversee payroll processing, commission reporting, and vendor/customer account resolution Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities Manage ERP uploads, data migration, and reporting across financial systems Maintain compliance with GAAP standards and federal, state, and local regulations Assist with year‑end tax preparation, 1099 processing, and audit support What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes Advanced Excel and analytical/problem‑solving skills Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments Experience in transportation or logistics industry is a plus Why Capital Logistics Group At Capital Logistics Group, we believe strong execution and great people drive lasting success.
