Senior Research Statistician - Exploratory Analysis (Hybrid)
AbbVie
Senior Research Statistician providing statistical support for drug discovery and clinical development programs, with focus on biomarker analysis and precision medicine. Reports to supervision and collaborates with discovery, translational, and clinical teams to design, analyze, and report multi-dimensional biomarker studies across development stages.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on design, analysis, and reporting of biomarker and assay studies in discovery and clinical trials
- Contribute to biomarker sections of clinical trial protocols and analysis plans under supervision
- Perform statistical analyses following biomarker analysis plans and ensure data quality for deliverables
- Identify biomarker signatures from omics and imaging data for target identification and patient stratification
- Present findings clearly to non-statisticians and support scientific publications with sound statistical reasoning
Requirements
- MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field with 4+ years experience, or PhD with 0+ years
- Research experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Machine learning expertise and experience
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with high-dimensional data integration and statistical methods
- Familiarity with overfitting control, cross-validation, and predictive modeling
- Experience in biomarker research (preferred)
