Registered Nurse, Adult Emergency Department, 24 Hours (Days/Evenings / Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary Registered Nurse in the Adult Emergency Department, 24 hours per week, Days/Evenings. Location: Adult Emergency Department, Boston Medical Center, Boston’s South End. The department is a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. Job Responsibilities Deliver clinical nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients. Communicate with various healthcare team members, patients, and families. Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues. Update and manage patient records. Enter and interpret computerized data/information. Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization. Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects. Job Requirements Licensed to practice professional nursing as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Minimum of 1 year of ED RN experience. Certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) required in certain units. Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years. Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certifications required for certain practice areas. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Physical ability to meet job responsibilities. Basic computer proficiency. Fluency in another language a plus. Job Benefits Competitive pay. Compensation range: $38.05–$75.33 per hour.
