This full-time role will focus on providing high-quality mental health counseling services to our diverse clientele in Islip, New York, and its surrounding areas. Work Environment\n

The position is remote, granting you the flexibility to work from home while effectively managing your scheduled client appointments. While your primary work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, some evenings and weekends may be required to best accommodate the needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Carry and manage a caseload of clients, building rapport and maintaining professional boundaries to foster a safe therapeutic environment.

• Conduct regular sessions to monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans, and effectively prepare for timely discharges as appropriate.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring they are actively involved in their own care.

• Document client interactions meticulously, maintaining accurate and timely progress notes and records in line with organizational policies.

• Administer intake assessments to new clients to identify their needs and develop an effective care strategy.

• Participate in individual supervision sessions that support your professional development and clinical skills enhancement.

• Collaborate seamlessly with fellow healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, ensuring all aspects of client well-being are attended to.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds. You will encounter a wide range of clinical issues, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship challenges, allowing you to make a significant impact on the mental health of your community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
\n
• Current and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) status without restrictions.
\n
• A minimum of one year of experience providing clinical services in an outpatient setting following graduation.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing technology including Excel, RMS systems, Outlook, and PIMSY for documentation and communication purposes.
\n
• Experience in conducting intake assessments and delivering direct psychotherapy to individuals and families.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Although not required, candidates with specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (such as CBT, DBT, or EMDR) or those fluent in multiple languages will be favored. Additionally, experience in community health settings will be advantageous.
