Senior Director, Events and Corporate Partnerships Mass General Brigham Development Office (MGBDO) seeks an experienced leader to oversee corporate partnership strategies, sponsorship sales, cause marketing, and the management of key fundraising events, including a growing portfolio of golf tournaments. Job Summary The Senior Director plays a critical role in driving revenue to support the fundraising success of annual MGB events, contributing to annual revenue of over $20M. The position leads a team that identifies, secures, and manages corporate partners, while integrating a multi‑year partnership strategy with MGB Development leaders and frontline fundraisers. Responsibilities Design and execute a comprehensive corporate partnership program for the newly integrated MGB Development Office, including event sponsorship, cause marketing, and oversight of the golf program. Develop a multi‑year strategy to expand corporate partnerships and cause marketing, building a strong pipeline of prospects. Collaborate with MGB Development leaders, key stakeholders, and volunteer leadership to create annual partnership strategies and cultivate donor‑connected companies. Partner with frontline fundraisers to develop solicitation strategies and gift opportunities. Meet or exceed annual revenue and growth targets for corporate partnership activities. Build strong rapport with MGB colleagues who intersect with corporate entities, vendors, and suppliers. Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team focused on corporate partnerships, cause marketing, and MGB golf tournaments. Oversee a growing roster of MGB golf tournaments, setting strategic expansion plans and ensuring operational excellence. Create and enhance processes for managing corporate partnership activities, including CRM tracking, reporting, sponsorship fulfillment, and contract compliance. Manage relationships for a defined portfolio of corporate prospects and support post‑event evaluation through data analysis and feedback. Provide back‑up event support and mentorship across the MGB Events team. Represent MGBDO with faculty, supporters, volunteers, and administrative leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. 10+ years of related experience, preferably in a fundraising, sponsorship, or corporate partnership environment. Demonstrated success in sponsorship sales, corporate partnerships, or cause marketing. Seasoned manager of people and teams, ideally within a fundraising office. Experience working with executive‑level stakeholders internally and externally. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, time‑management, problem‑solving, and project‑management abilities. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and quickly learn new software. Competency in videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams. Experience with database data entry or management, preferably Blackbaud CRM or Raiser’s Edge. Attention to detail, creativity, and a strong work ethic. Motivation to learn about the organization and fundraising mission. Self‑awareness of personal work styles and the ability to collaborate with diverse audiences. Adaptability and flexibility in times of shifting priorities. Mission‑driven attitude with the capacity to complete tasks independently or with minimal guidance.
