This position plays a key role in keeping work moving by identifying outstanding items, following up across departments and ensuring critical production information is accurate, organized, and available when needed.The position is expected to operate with a high level of independence. Must be able to recognize priorities, organize their workload and proactively contribute to the success of the Planning and Production departments without requiring continuous direction.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport daily production planning and administrative activitiesMaintain production documentation, travelers, and recordsMonitor reports for missing information, overdue actions, and scheduling concernsTrack open jobs and follow up with internal departments and outside vendorsMaintain accurate information within Microsoft Dynamics NAVCoordinate communication between Planning, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Quality and ManagementQualificationsRequiredProduction Control experience in a manufacturing environmentERP/MRP experienceStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially ExcelExcellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.PreferredMicrosoft Dynamics NAV experienceAPICS/CPSM or similar certificationPHYSICAL & ITAR REQUIREMENTSAccess to ITAR-controlled technical data and CUI requires verification of U.S. Person status prior to employment.Ability to stand for extended periods on a manufacturing floor; regularly lift and carry up to 35 lbs.; frequent bending, reaching, and use of hand tools; use of appropriate PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear) at all times on the production floor. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.This position is performed on the Whelan Machine & Tool production floor, a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, cutting fluids, and moving equipment.
