Production Lead

Production Lead Location: Louisville, KY Pay: $20 per hour Overview Goodson is a Louisville-based clothing and promotional products company that helps businesses, colleges & universities, nonprofits, and organizations bring their brands to life through custom products. As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our in-house decoration capabilities and looking for someone who wants to help build a scalable, high-quality production operation. This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants to own the craft, the output, and the process—not just run machines. You’ll be responsible for keeping production moving, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and continuously improving how we operate. You’ll report directly to the Operations Manager and work closely with other departments to keep projects moving from order to delivery. While you’ll have ownership over production, you’ll be part of a collaborative team working toward the same goal: delivering an exceptional customer experience. Roles and responsibilities Own day-to-day production across all in-house decoration methods Run production across embroidery, heat transfers, hat press/appliqués, and fulfillment needs Prioritize jobs and manage workflow to hit deadlines and prevent bottlenecks Maintain equipment, supplies, and organization to minimize downtime Troubleshoot production issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency Catch and correct issues early to uphold quality standards Coordinate production priorities with Sales and Customer Success Help improve production systems, efficiency, and consistency over time What drives success Strong ownership mindset — you’ll own this area of the business Ability to prioritize and problem‑solve in real time Attention to detail and pride in the finished product Willingness to learn the craft and continuously improve Clear, proactive communication when issues arise Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production equipment Reliability and accountability Ability to stay organized in a fast‑paced environment Performance expectations & measurables We measure success by consistently delivering quality products on time while continuously improving our production processes. EXPERIENCE

Experience in embroidery, apparel decoration, print production, manufacturing, fulfillment, machine operation, or other hands‑on production environments is preferred but not required for the right candidate. We’re willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong ownership, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
