Production Work-Leader

Location: Jeffersonville, IN

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Minutemen Staffing is currently hiring a Production Work-Leader for a manufacturing facility in Jeffersonville, IN. We are seeking a motivated, dependable individual with strong leadership skills, an engineering background, and knowledge of process technology. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating production activities, managing projects, solving technical problems, and improving manufacturing processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and accountability for the production team.
• Coordinate production activities and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Support project management initiatives related to production efficiency, process improvements, and operational performance.
• Apply engineering principles and process technology knowledge to identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
• Train employees and lead by example.
• Work with the Production Foreman on daily capacity planning and production scheduling.
• Ensure production equipment is operating properly and all required positions are staffed.
• Ensure employees follow PPE requirements and established safety procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of production procedures, including:
• Press operation
• Die changes
• Billet oven setup
• Cutback saw setup
• Extrusion process monitoring
• Dimensional quality checks
• Accurately record production information and downtime.
• Sequence work orders to maximize efficiency and ensure on-time production.
• Use the company's production system to access die drawings and other job-related information.
• Verify products meet specifications and work-order requirements.
• Perform quality checks at required intervals.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Engineering background preferred, particularly in process technology or manufacturing processes.
• Experience with project management, project coordination, or process improvement preferred.
• Two or more years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow production procedures and work instructions.
• Basic experience with production data recording and analysis.
• Ability to learn multiple production roles and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push heavy production tooling with the assistance of overhead crane equipment.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Dependable, with good attendance and a strong work ethic.
